This page was created to tell you a little about me, Deleta Jones. I have had a passion for dog training for as long as I can remember, and I started training my first dog in 1976. I have trained dogs for wilderness and disaster search work, world level schutzhund cometition, AKC obedience, agility, but most importantly, to be well behaved family pets.
When I worked as a professional firefighter, I applied my knowledge to train my own home bred dogs for wilderness and disaster search work, police work and narcotic and bomb detection.
Having worked in the line of duty, I understand first hand how crucial it is to have a dog that will get the job done. When a life depends on it, there is no excuse for poor quality dog training.
I have bred, trained and titled numerous schutzhund dogs, including my current competion dog, 2007 WUSV World Team Member, USA H.O.T. SchH3 Champion Ello von Herretts Fire.
While titles, competitions, and working venues are rewarding goals to have for a dog/handler team, the majority of my time is dedicated to teaching dogs and their owners to live together harmoniously.
There is tremendous value in having a happy, well behaved and obedient dog. Having your dog properly trained, insures that he will be accepted more readily by your family and friends, and easier to take along with you places.
